Well as you can tell from my photo header..... everything I am doing right now is top secret!! No sorry cannot show you what I am doing or it will spoil the surprise for the person receiving it...

Well OK... just a little peek of one of the projects..

Ha ha ha not that you can tell much from that!! You will have to wait!! 

All I can say is that I am stitching lots, and I love the way they look! I will post photo's of them once they have been posted.... 

What else can I tell you all about.. hmmm 

Ooooh yes...

My lovely husband has been mooching around looking at all the charts and designers I like, he is always looking at something to do with stitching.  I laugh as stitching is my hobby and buying/sourcing all the products I need and use is his hobby!  Well it keeps him busy as he searches all over the world looking for things I may like!

And talking of things I like.. this come in the post today!! 

What a wonderful husband I have! :)  These are my first Heart in Hand designs and I know the fabric I am going to stitch them on too.... Thanks to Justine for sending me some samples to try out :)  

They look like they will stitch up pretty quick so looking forward to these after I have got this top secret project out of the way.

I think that will be tomorrow!!! yipppeee!!! ha ha ha

I should of gone to college today.. as I had maths.. and tomorrow I will not be going wither... I have English.  I am really not up to it.  As you all know I am suffering at the moment with lack of energy and I am constantly tired due to having this dreadful problem with anemia.

You will all be pleased to know I am taking the iron supplement.. it is rather awful but I am mixing it with grapefruit juice.. so its drinkable!

I am hoping after one month of this to be in a better position where I at least have some energy to do things.  Its difficult... but I am hanging in there.

I guess my stitching is keeping me busy and out of trouble! And to be honest I am enjoying just sitting and stitching!

Monday 28 th April 2014...

I saw this little squirrel and thought it really cute so had to post it on here!

Well some good news I have finished both the hearts from The World Of Cross Stitching magazine issue 216 by designer Belinda Karls-Nace, BRD Designs :)

They are both far from being perfect... quirky I think!  And well I am really pleased that I completed them as I used the sewing machine too!  And I think my sewing machine skills are improving and I am gaining more confidence every time I use it.  I liked this project as it was a challenge for me... this is really small stitching for me.... and I like the way it looks.

I managed to stitch at home and at the bingo hall when I went with my dad!  Every little helped!

I think I may try another little project on linen next... 

A little while ago I decided to take part in m y first ever Round Robin.. Now this whole concept that I stitch something and it goes to someone else and they stitch me something at the same time.. and it goes round all the people taking part and they all receive what I stitch and I receive what they stitch... wonderful!! And I hope to make a little stitching friends quilt with all the lovely stitching bits I get back.

For a theme I have decided to see what my first partner sends me and to build on that!  Ha h a sorry to my first partner ... no pressure!  Honestly please if your reading this.. stitch anything you like!  I am sure to love it.

Well for this Round Robin I have to have a 7 x 7 square of aida and only stitch on 4 x 4 ... basically in the center. I am taking part of this with June at Butterfly wings...

Now at present I cannot show you what I am stitching.... see its a surprise!! I dont want to spoil it so I will post a photo of what I did after my partner receives it. 

        

Other than the Round Robin I actually have no stitching to do.. oh sure I have the pile of WIP projects!! But I love starting something new!! hmm not good really.  But I am trying to finish the pieces I start now, so that is a good thing.

Maybe I will pull out a WIP and try too finish one of those?   hmmm maybe?

Sunday 27 th April 2014....

Today my dad treated me to bingo!  We do go every now and then... its nice to spend time with him. 

Here is the bingo...

And look I managed to squeeze in some stitching!....

I took my bag I stitched too... this is why I made it, to carry all my stitching things in on the go!  As you can see I am working on the 2nd heart now....

Here is the 1 st heart, I managed to make it into something...

I am really pleased with the way I finished it.  It was a little tricky at first as I wanted to make sure I got the flowers and grass all going the right way.  I added the little lace with a touch of color ... what do you think?  

I plan to finish the 2 nd heart in the same way but with a different color thread through the lace.  

I felt more confident on the sewing machine this time.. and I think my straight lines are improving!

I have been thinking and I am organizing some things to have a give away!! About time I had one I think!  So watch over the next few days as I will put it on my blog soon!.. how very exciting!!! :)

Well I have so much to tell you all... where do I start...

Oh yes Starr asked about my car... I love it!! here are a few photos.. 

It really is a lovely car to drive, its the Orlando middle of the range one.. I did not want to top of the range as I dont care much for leather seats!

As you can see its parked in our disable bay... as Jon uses a wheelchair this is a god send as the street is always full.

Yes that is our home behind.. you can just make out the red railings of the ramp that goes right to the front door.  We live downstairs and someone lives up stairs.  Its not really big enough for our needs but its somewhere to live right!

Jon has to sit the the back and I drive... Jon used to drive, he loved to.  But now due to his injury and not being able to sit up straight he cannot even sit in the front.  I am his chauffeur now!! It suits me fine as I love to drive... especially this car!

The car... the lovely car I had previously... see I have not had the chevy that long... was my lovely Vauxhall Agila.  I loved it.. had it from new till 11 years old!  It went every where I went!  As you can see from the photos I have French plates!! Yes it came to France with me when I lived and worked there!

This was from somewhere we stopped on the way back from Andorra.. we went there a lot as its a lovely place.

I do miss my little car... my new car is quite similar just larger!

Well the post arrived today and WOW!!! A parcel for me!!! Now I was not expecting anything so this was indeed a lovely surprise.

Everything was wrapped is really cute paper... which I loved!!! And oh I love the blue bell card... its beautiful... really sweet as I have bluebells in my garden.

Look!!! Its just so adorable!! I love it!! The colors the finish... the stitching!! Wonderful! :)

And a special gift... for me!! How really sweet of you to do this Justine.. something really lovely indeed.. I know I will enjoy stitching this.. thank you.

And the thing that blew me away...  

This is MARVELOUS!!! I have been wanting to experiment on different fabrics and thought there should be a pack you can buy to sample various fabrics. I am SO SO happy about this I cannot even express into words!  BRILLIANT!! Thank you so much Justine!! :)

Your parcel Justine really made me smile and I feel honored that you would think of me and post me something.  Its hard to say how I am feeling... but believe me I am VERY happy.  After feeling low and ill this was definitely a mood lifter!

An update on my stitching... as you will recall I am stitching those beautiful heart designs in the most recent magazine of World of Cross Stitching.  They are just simply wonderful and could not wait to stitch them...

I just love the sweet little blue flowers... they could be forget me nots?  I am really enjoying stitching this.  I have changed the colors slightly as I do not have any weeks threads... 

I thought i would up date you... I have finished!!

I just recently seem to be rather rubbish at taking photo's :(  Well I just have to finish it now....

I am taking my iron supplement I just hope it starts to kick in soon... nothing yet.  I will carry on.. its not that bad... at least I can take it now !!

oooh yes wanted to show you all what I ate for dinner last night... I thought I had better eat some vegetables so stir fried a load up and then put a little piri piri sauce on, just a little and tossed them about... a nice warmth to them.  They were rather yummy.

So I am off now.. to do more stitching!...

Friday 25 th April 2014..... WHAT A DAY!!!

OH MY!!! OH MY!!!

Well I went out as planned to just pick up my prescription from the doctors.... Its was raining..

I did not take a coat or jumper with me as I thought just nip in and nip out.. then straight to the chemist to collect the medication.

HMMMMmmmmmmm NO!! Appears not!!

I heard a strange noise coming from my car... carried on driving as the doctors surgery is not that far from my house, just a few streets away.

I parked the car in the car park and OMG!!! Seriously!!

Yes a flat tyre!  Got straight on the phone the to the RAC break down people!! Well I could not change it as my car does not carry a spare! 

The RAC man turned up and got to work... a very nice man he was to...

I got to sit in his cab... bearing in mind I only had a t-shirt on I was freezing! (view from the cab!)

As my wheel had a rather large screw in it and a hole it was not even temporarily repairable.. so he had to put one of his lovely orange tyres on.. this would get me to the garage...

Nice!! 

Made it to the garage (Kwik Fit) and they changed my tyre and off I went!! So I then went to the chemist to collect my medication...

What a morning!!

I got home not that long ago.. the little trip out should of taken no longer than 30 minutes... it actually took 4 hours!! And all I wanted to do today was relax and stitch!! 

Yes but there was a nice surprise waiting for me when I got home... 

It appears my lovely husband thought I needed cheering up!! So ordered this online for me and it came today... perfect timing as YES!! I needed cheering up!

I first I knew anything about this wonderful design was a little while ago when Mii Stitch (Ingrid) stitched it... and WOW!! her stitching was beautiful...and yes I showed my husband and said I loved it.... and he surprised me buy buying it!! With the threads too!!  :)

Well yes I collected my liquid iron from the chemist and took it when I got home... ewe!!

Just the liquid.. the color is awful.. luckily it had no smell!!

And then I added grapefruit juice...

It looked dreadful... bit like cold tea or coffee... it was fine, tasted like brown grapefruit juice! ha ha ha its all in the mind!! I have to drink this 2 times a day.. lets hope it works!!

Well as I am back best I start stitching... making a start on the hearts today...

Thursday 24 th April 2014...Stitching Lotus Giveaway....

Hello!!!

No I am not feeling better.. sorry :(

I am just not dwelling on it now!  As from tomorrow when I go back to my doctors, I will be taking liquid iron supplement mixed with grapefruit juice!  I hope that does the trick?  We shall see..

Today I had to go shopping.. we needed food!!  It tired me out a lot.. but its fine as tomorrow (Friday) I can stay in all day after I have been to see the doctor.  And that means hours and hours of stitching!!! yippppeeeee!

So today I did manage to finish off Peter Polar Bear!! I think he is so cute...

I just really love this, its a joy to stitch and is making me smile so that is a good thing!  I cannot wait to see what animal is released next.  Its really exciting.

So in between stitching this I thought I would start a new exciting project... something that I really like the look of, its in the latest World Of Cross Stitching magazine, issue 216... and a bonus that its a design from Blue Ribbon Designs designer!!! WOW!! Thats what I thought!!
