Tuesday 6 th May 2014....

(Borrowed from Google Images)

Well unfortunately I am not feeling so good today.. so what better way to spend the day..... I stitched all day!! ha ha

Its tiresome moving about and walking is zapping my energy.  I am afraid that the iron supplement I have been taking is really not working.  I am going to go back to my doctor and see what he says.  I dont really want to get any worse as I know a blood transfusion is not that far off now.  So conserving my energy where I can...

So this has meant no college today or tomorrow.. I just no energy to walk around campus.. but I have work that has been emailed to me :)

I have sat on my nice comfy sewing chair practically all day... and I made this!!!  I needed something to keep all my lovely charts in.

My new chart bag...

I lined it too...

The back...

I cut out all the different colored squares and the stitched them together using my sewing machine.  I really enjoyed making it and am enjoying gaining more and more confidence on my sewing machine.

I like color as a lot of you know.. and well I put these together and thought they matched pretty well.. nice bright and happy :)

So that was the sewing...

I need to start another cross stitch project...

OK!!

YES!!

I am putting together a little something for the runner up of my first blog giveaway..  so will post when I have done it! shhhhh its a secret at the moment!

But I shall give a little tiny clue...

I bought something in the V&A museum whilst in London recently and have been looking for something to go with it... FOUND IT!! and well once stitched it will be for the runner up :)

Saturday 3 rd May 2014....

(Borrowed from Google Images)

Its Saturday just!  Nearly missed it!  See I have been busy stitching!  Too engrossed in what I was doing... ha ha stopped a little while to make this blog post.

Want to see what I am up to??

Ok a little clue...

This is some of the amazing fabric I bought at that lovely shop yesterday.... More Sewing... OH my there fabric selection is just simply awesome.

Ok so like I say I have been stitching away trying to finish this... hope to be done tomorrow.

I am pleased to say that one of my Top Secret stitch gifts has reached its destination... I had an email to confirm this :)   It will be put on their blog tomorrow...

So I guess I could show you now what I sent..

Remember this little clue I gave!...

The person I sent this to showed me kindness so as a Thank You I made this and sent it to them... I will wait until tomorrow to reveal who I sent it to...

This was an experiment and and a challenge too... see its the first time I have put a pocket on anything!  I love a challenge and think for my first attempt I did good...

The little mouse is a freebie from The World of Cross Stitching magazine from issue 211... its designed by Lucie Heaton and is part of the Furry Tales designs.

I think the Furry Tales designs as very cute and have stitched a few now...

Goodness yes... the Stitch Enigma has started at the grey tail blog... its a game with word and picture clues given over the month.... they all should make up what the current project and the designer is of the project of what Chiara at the grey tail is stitching.

If you up for a challenge and enjoy puzzles... head on over there!  The first clue is out .. I have no clue!! ha ha ha

I just checked her blog and WOW!! From the first clue apparently its been solved!  But dont be disheartened there are more prizes to be given out by posting what you think from the clues... the answer has not been given out so its still fun!

Oh yes please please give your vote for Belinda at Blue Ribbon Designs for the accuquilt competition :)

Visit Belinda's blog link above as all the details are there explaining how to vote :)

Just look at these wonderful designs.... how can you not vote!!

My blog giveaway will be revealed on Monday... that is Bank Holiday Monday here in UK... hope you all like it and participate.

Until tomorrow as I must get back to my stitching!...

Smiles to you all :)

Friday 2 nd May 2014...

(Borrowed from Google Images)

Did you all miss me??!!!
I am pleased and over the moon to be back...

I am feeling so much better now.. I think I am on the mend...yipppppeeee!!

What happened to April? It seems I blinked and its gone!

So what have I been doing...  trying to relax and take it easy.  I say that as I really have been trying... honest!

Han came in on Wednesday from college in a little state staying she was not happy with the way her project was going at college.  And that she wanted to change it but needed inspiration!! Oh my!! So are you wondering what form this inspiration came in?? ha ha We ended up buying tickets online and travelling to London Thursday!! I know!! I should of been relaxing and taking it easy.. but Han needed my help.

So we caught the train to London and basically spent the day in the Science museum and the V&A (Victoria and Albert museum)!!  We did go for a bite to eat at the Duck and Waffle restaurant... AMAZING!!! Apparently its the tallest eating place in UK!! 40 flights up!!  Han took a lot of photo's of your jaunt.. I will post them soon.. you can see what we got up to then!

Here is the link to Han's blog as she has just posted the jaunt on her blog complete with photo's!!

I have posted all my letters and parcels so they are as we speak/type on there way!! Very exciting!!

Today I have been really busy... post office visit and OMG!! an amazing visit to a local shop I have been wanting to go to!!

I must apologize about the quality of my photo's.. its a rather grey old day today :(  Next time I go.. oh yes I WILL be going again!! I will take Han as we all know her photo's are SO much better!! ha ha

Its a lovely shop with really nice staff called More Sewing.. The owner is called Laura Rigby, I had the pleasure of meeting Mark and two other ladies.

Here is a link to their Facebook page.....

I walked in and I was greeted really warmly, and well I was in awe with the amount of beautiful fabrics...

Here are some photo's and you can see what I mean!

As you can see they have an AMAZING selection of fabrics.. needless to say I was in the shop over an hour!!

And what did I buy...

There are a few things missing from here that I bought as I am organizing a little surprise giveaway..

Yes I am doing a little give away!!

There is a theme to my giveaway... all will be revealed shortly!....

I would just like to say Thank You to Mark and the staff that were in the shop today when I popped.  I thought you were all very friendly and I loved the shop!  I will be back soon!! :)

Goodness I must tell you about this....

Do you all remember when I stitched these beautiful designs by Belinda Karls-Nace... from BRD Designs...

The design was in The World of Cross Stitching magazine issue 216...

As usual I received the Blue Ribbon Designs Newsletter for May.. I was browsing through enjoying and taking in everything.. when.... I clicked on GALLERY and WOW!! My stitched design!

Thank You Belinda for featuring my stitched design in your newsletter... it was a lovely surprise.

Thursday. ...

Sorry for missing a day....

Typing this on my iPad as I have not been so well...

I have been stitching... Secret things!  So once my dad has posted them on Friday I am sure I could post a photo ... Do you think?

Ooh yes I have joined the Smalls SAL 2014... There is a new box on the right hand side of my blog.... It's the link to the host.  Goodness... I hope I was able to join... I just tagged along!

It said to leave a message saying hi... I could not find the comments box to leave one :(. So if the host or other SAL members make it this far 'hello' !! I love stitching and am normally really busy stitching.. Unfortunately recently I have been ill, oh bit I am still stitching as it takes my mind off things.

As for what to show... I guess I am supposed to show something I have stitched... This is a tad difficult at the moment as like I say I am on my iPad and all my photo's of my projects are held on my PC.  I know it's rather inconvenient .... But I hope to make a better post soon..

Thank you all for stitching with me and I will resume normal blogging posts soon.

Smiles to you all for being understanding....

:)
