Wednesday 23 rd April 2014...

(This is my feet!)

Yes these are my feet!!

I love these shoes... they are Clarks brogues and really comfy.  Well the reason I posted the photo was to show you how silly I am!! Can you spot the deliberate error?? Goodness I feel silly.. ha ha but I have left it!

That's right I have laced them up differently!  I call it quirky! hee hee

Ok so what have I been up to today??

Well I spent a little time over my parents house, you know caught up with them, chatted and laughed ... that type of thing.  Then come home and collapsed in a heap in my chair...

See the tablets the doctor gave me yesterday made me really sick, I was so ill last night I have decided not to take them.  This is a major issue now as I need to have a large iron intake... from somewhere.  I eat a lot of vegetables.. I can only eat so much!  But my iron levels are really low and no matter how many vegetable I eat I dont think it will be enough.  I dont eat meat so its really hard.  I think its back to my doctor...

I really dislike having no energy, I feel like a slug :(

As far as stitching goes I have done a little more... not much but a little...

Its Peter Polar bear wearing a polar neck jumper!  Ha ah no head yet... that comes next!

I am really loving stitching the Advent Animals... cannot wait to see what animals are next.

I did go out later in the afternoon as I had my English class... I took an exam just before the Easter break and wanted to know if my result was in....

No! No results :(  The class is on the top floor (3rd floor) and I found it hard going up the stairs... unfortunately I had to take the lift.  And then sat in the class really tired.

I enjoyed my English class today, its was actually really good fun.  I have another exam in 5 weeks!! Eeeek!!

Yes my maths exams are just one week after the English one!

So sorry this is rather a dull post.. I hope to be feeling better tomorrow and have hopefully finished my Peter Polar Bear too :)

Thank you for sticking with me.. smiles to you all :)

Tuesday 22 nd April 2014...

(Borrowed from Google Images)

I put this maths header as today I have been in college all day doing maths! ... hmmm I dont really get maths at all.. but I try!  Like everything I try!  If you are not aware I have learning difficulties... dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia... so maths as you can imagine does not come easy to me!!

Arrived at college and just had too!!..

So yes went to my lesson and I got back my mock calculate results from the test I did just before Easter...

Refreshing your memory the last mock calculator paper I did I was 14% off getting the C grade I need to pass!  So my aim was to do better than that! As long as I keep improving then something is sinking in!

And well here is my paper I got back...

Ha ha well this time I got 11% off a pass mark!! Ha ha an improvement!!  My tutor believes I can do this!! Need to feel more confident in myself I guess...

Well my exam is on the 9th June for the non calculator paper and the 13th June for the calculator paper!! yes Friday the 13th!! ha ha a  I hope its lucky for me!!  I tell you the time is flying by..

Something different now...

Well I am a poorly bunny :(  Damn!! I am blighted with anemia and it really does affect me badly.. I went to see my doctor today and well I have been given different medication to try..

They are basically iron tablets to try to boost my levels up.  I have suffered really bad in the past where I have almost needed a blood transfusion... so I try to do everything I can to avoid that.

To try to give myself a little boost and a bit more energy I have been drinking this.... I guess its helped as its just full of sugar... not good for me though.

So I have little energy to do anything at the moment... ha ha I will just have to sit in my wonderful stitching chair and stitch all day!  That makes me smile!

Talking of stitching I thought I had shared these photo's with you all of Mrs Norris... appears not!  Well here she is... wanting fussing .. when I am trying to stitch! hmmmm

Then she did this...

No hope of stitching then!  I have no idea what she found so nice about my green fabric?  She actually went to sleep on it!! I had to give up on stitching that night :(

As you are know my parents went away over Easter to visit my brother and his family near Ipswich.  They went out sight seeing one day and brought me back a gift... something I have not seen or had in years!  Even though I live by the sea I just have never bought one!  So my mum did! I did giggle...

Its a stick of rock from Clacton on sea!  A stick of rock if your not familiar with is basically a souvenir mint stick! A really British sea side thing!

I have not long been in and now after doing this up date I am now going to do some stitching ... Peter Polar Bear is calling me!!

Until later...

And Thank You ALL so much for popping in to see my blog.. :) xx

OMG!! I have found the most perfect chart for me,....

Its a Blue Ribbon Design called Find Your Happy Place!

Here...
(Borrowed from Blue Ribbon Design web page)

I am now busy tracking this down where to buy it!! I LOVE IT!!! And I so need this!!!

Looking....

hmmm none of the suppliers in UK that supply Blue Ribbon designs stock this :(

So that means I will have to source it further away....

HERE is the link to Blue Ribbon Designs if you want to browse yourself at the wonderful designs :)

I will keep looking....

OH DEAR :(
I found the design but look...

The chart is a good price but the shipping/postage is just terrible... I cannot find anywhere in UK that has this ... I cannot afford to buy it from further away as postage/shipping costs are making it well out of my reach :(

If anyone knows where I can purchase this in UK or from abroad with better postage costs please please let me know.

I am sad now :(

Monday 21 st April 2014... Bank Holiday...

(Borrowed from Google Images)

What a lovely Bank Holiday Monday it is here!  Ha ha not that I can see anything outside as we have our curtains closed!  Well we could not see the television!  And well we are watching a classic... Ben Hur!! :)

Yes I have been multi tasking today... watching television and playing on my PC and iPad as well as stitching! ha ha

Here is what I have made today... its for a stitching friend...

Again its one of my quirky designs!  The JOY and little hearts are from an adapted Lizzie Kate freebie on her site... I think I am loving Lizzie Kate!  I really loved making it!  I do hope the person I am sending it to loves it too?

Well on with the stitching as I hope to post an up date of Peter Polar Bear later!

Smiles until then!  :)

Here is my Peter Polar Bear up date...

Its really a joy to stitch, and loving seeing it appear on my fabric.

Tomorrow I am in college all day... maths!! hmmm  So no stitching until I return unless I can sneak a few stitches in?... maybe?

Until tomorrow....

Smiles to you all :)

Sunday 20 th April 2014.... Easter Sunday ..

(Borrowed from Google Images)

Firstly Happy Easter Sunday everyone!

I thought I would be creative today so I went over to my parents house to use my sewing machine.  I have to go over there as she has a dining room and a table!  I dont  have the space to have a dining table :(

So yes went over my parents home... they are not there!  They have gone off in their caravan to visit my brother and his family... Ipswich area.  Han is staying at my parent house... cat sitting!  And then when they return on Tuesday she will stay a little longer, to spend time with them. Nice!  So my home will be quiet a little longer!

Ok so like I say I went to be creative....

That creativity started last night, I knew I was going to go to my parents and needed something to put my pins and other little bits in so I made something!...

Outside...

Inside left...

Inside right...

Inside..

The front..

Its only for my use.. sure its not perfect.. I like to think of it more as quirky!  I had fun making it and its a very useful practical thing for me to have!

That is what I made last night and that got me thinking and wanting to make something else...

Ready to start...

The first thing I made was again something practical and useful... see I have all odd bits of ribbon and lace and had no where to put them all..

This cross stitch was an Anchor mini stitch I did some time ago.. and wondered what to do with it!  Ah ha!! This was a good use for it!

So I made this..

A little bag with a ribbon pull cord to tie it.  I like it and it was fun to make too.

Next I thought I would be a little more adventurous and try to make some mug mats.. I looked at the tutorial and thought OK... I can do this!! Well try anyway! ha ha a

Here is what I did...

Chose the fabric.. then cut triangles and squares out..

Sewed to opposite halves together..

Ha ha not like this though :(  Wrong way!!

Yes I did sew the wrong sides together... it was a huge learning curve as I then needed to pull all the stitches out and turn it the way it should of been! The pattern should of been inside not one side right and the other wrong! ha ah a

After stitching the correct way I then turned it inside out and revealed the finished look!.. ran the iron over it and sealed the little gap I use to turn it.

Then stitched all the lines on to finish it.. OMG!! Straight lines are quite hard to do!

Here are the 4 I made...

Front...

Back...

I think considering that this is only the 3rd time on my sewing machine and without guidance and help I have done marvelously!  And I am really pleased with myself that I managed to change the thread and fill the underneath thread too (what ever that is called!)

I never thought it actually possible for me to use my sewing machine... I always thought it was too difficult.. but oh I should say I am quite slow!  I go at a snails pace but I guess the speed will come with more confidence?

Enjoyed it and thinking maybe next time I go for a sewing session I may decided to make a bag! :) oooh!!

Goodness... not one Eastery thing yet!! soon change that!!

I hope your all having a wonderful day :)

Smiles to you all :)

Saturday 19 th April 2014...

I just had to use this cute bunny again!  Could not resit as he is adorable! hop ...hop ...hop!!

Well Its Easter!! Hope your all enjoying your Chocolate Easter eggs and catching up with friends and family?  Me... just a relaxing weekend really!

What have I been up to...

Oooh yes!! I finished Katie Kitty from the Advent Animals...

Its adorable and I love it! Next is Peter Polar Bear.  And it was so much fun to stitch too... if you like it its part of this..

And well I have been blog hopping and found a blog having a giveaway I want to share with you all as it looks awesome!

The blog is run by Karen and called Sew Much 2 Luv

This is what Karen is giving away...

A wonderful gift :)

Karen's blog is lovely.. lots going on there.. go take a look and enter the giveaway too!

Ooooh yes I would like to ask a question... if I may...

OK!! Whilst on my blog hopping travels around all your wonderful blogs I see your lovely work... and yes its stunning...
My question is ... well some of you have little objects, some wood, some glass, some plastic... all different shapes and styles ... animals, houses, people...things...
Its what you put your needle onto.. I think it must be magnetic? But I am not sure?  Now these all look great!  And oooh where do I go to look at some?  I guess it does not help that I dont know what they are even called!

I went on Google and found this..

I know there are many a different design out there... just wondering where you all buy or find yours?  And how do they stay on your fabric?  The mind boggles!  Hmmm

I have been looking about for something 'easy' to do as a  sewing machine project to get me using it more.  And to build my confidence and skills up too....

And to use some of the amazing fabric I recently won too :)

From Christine Marie at Berberis patchwork and embroidery

So like I say I have been looking about,.... a little while ago Stitchers Anon (LINK)posted about an exchange of mug coasters I think it was?  The fabric kind... well I had never seen these before ans thought they were great!  I did not take part as I thought my stitching was not up to it yet really.

It got me thinking and I am going to have a go!! ha ha not actually sure what they are going to come out like as I am not that good with straight lines on my sewing machine!!  But I will try!

I was on a lovely blog and looking at their tutorials... brilliant I thought as I have no clue where to start!! The tutorials I looked at belong to Karen at Sew Much 2 Luv... link is above on her give away!  Or look at the side of my blog and I have added a quick jump photo to her blog :)

This is what I found and what I am going to try to follow...

I will give it a go and we shall see!!

I am doing this tomorrow so I will make a post once I have done it :)
