Happy just stitching...

Hello happy friends...

I filmed Han being happy today! I know we are rather silly... She made me smile so I captured it! And yes ... My voice is on there too!

Do you like the lovely lilacs? They are from my mums garden and smell lovely.

So when I could I have been stitching... Yes unfortunately still in pain, but never mind!   Life is too short to worry about the pain I am in... So I am not!!

Here is what I have been stitching...

I have finished the adorable Stitchers Anon design called The Humble Bumble Bee.... It was a joy to stitch.

I think is where I left off with you all last time...

It was stitched on 32 count hand dyed fabric, 1 over 1 with DMC threads.

I started a new design today... Another Stitchers Anon design, it's called Scent of Ginger and is a Christmas design! Ha ha not sure but today felt Christmassy so thought why not, so I did! Ha ha

Here is my journey so far....

That is where I am now... It's almost finished!! I am stitching this one on 14 count flax Aida using DMC threads and it's a lot of fun!!

Got to show you all something pretty amazing!! Way back in March when it was Mother's Day here in England.  Han got me a lovely balloon... To be different!! And look!! It's still here!! Gone down a little...

So I think I will finish the stitching I am doing tomorrow...so then what to do?? Oooh I could start something new??!! Omg yes!! I love starting new things!

But then get a little guilty as I have things waiting to be finished! Hmmm maybe I should finish Yellow Submarine by Blackbird designs first? Hmmm well I did leave it looking like an elephant..

Look!!

Ha ha !!

Hope your all well and smiling?
Happy smiles to you all and I hope you all have a smiley weekend :)

Back soon...

How exciting....

Exciting indeed!!!!

Oooh a parcel has turned up ..... Yipppeeeee!!! Look HERE.  Happy happy stitching!!! I am quite releaved it turned up, it did travel all the way to Australia!!

No news on the other parcels yet....  I am sure they are in the system, somewhere! Please let me know when they turn up :)

Lol... Are you wondering about my mug?  Well when I was hopping about blogs I popped in on Justine.  There was a lot of 'tea' chatting.... Ha ha by this I mean, it's about her current stitch project... It's got a tea pot in it... And oh it's a very pretty design.  I joined in and said I don't like tea! Ha ha really I don't... I think it's because I grew up in Germany and France and prefer coffee.  Well.... Gosh this is turning out to be a long old explanation!! Ok... The cup... It's rather funny as inside it says "drink tea and talk happy"!  This makes me smile every time I drink out of it .... Ha ha see I always fill it with coffee!!! Ha ha

Bet your all pleased that long winded explanation is over!! Ha ha

Right.... I am now stitching inbetween the pain, so I am not managing to,get as much done as I usually do.  But I am not grumbling as I am still able to stitch.

I am still working on the Stitchers Anon design called "The Humble Bumble Bee".  I am really really enjoying this, it's such a happy design, filled with pretty things I like to stitch too! And I am pleased I decided to challenge myself with this too.  Stitching 1 over 1 on 32 count fabric is actually alright, gets easier the more I am doing.

Here is my journey so far... The end is actually in sight!

That's where I am now.... I thinks it's actually awesome to be able to see all the photos together of my stitching.  I really enjoy stitching and seeing it like this makes me think how lucky I am to be able to stitch.

I had a lovely subscription magazine turn up Saturday... It's a quilting magazine called "Quilt Now".. Yes I know I am not actively quilting but I like to read the magazines.  And when I am up to it I would love to start.  The magazine had a little project booklet with it.... English paper piecing.... Oooh looks very interesting.

One of the main reasons I opted to subscribe to this magazine was really what was inside.... I love all the photos and picture instructions.

Here is my collection so far...

Here is a peek inside and you will see why I love it so much...

I mean how love,y is all this!!! Just something about fabrics.. The colours the textures.... The patterns and designs... Heaven!! I would oh so love to own a fabric/sewing shop... I would spend all day feeling all the fabrics! Ha ha

See how easy it is to read and understand.... I love the pictures.  See I am more of a picture person...dislike reading! Ha ha guess that's due to my SpLD's!! (Dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia)

And great tips too...

This looks interesting... I think they used a glue pen? I have never used one, keep meaning to...even for my hexies.  I should try one out... I think it's just a dab? And when you take out the paper does it stick to the paper? Anyone use a glue pen for this? Let me know and what you recommend as I would love to give one a go.

There are great useful tips too...

And Oooh look at some point I am going to have to try and make this...

Ha ha probably bored you all silly showing you my magazine?!  I wanted to share this wonderful magazine as I really like it... No other reason!

I think it's good to read what everyone likes or dislikes... I pick up so many tips and ideas from blog hopping.  So there is my 'like' !!

Hope your all well, I know a few of you are poorly and have nasty bugs right now, take care of yourselves and know I am thinking of you.

Big happy smiles to you all :)

How much more can I take??

Hello friends.... So sorry for not blogging as often as I should be... Epic failure.

I have good and bad news to tell you all.... Where do I start??

Ok.... Good news as I am trying so very very hard to stay positive right now.

I have been trying to stitch, to keep myself busy.... Been doing a bit here and a bit there...

Remember my Blackbird "Octopus's Garden design?... Stitched on 36 count grey raw linen 2 over 2... A little up date...

That is where I am now.... Jon says it looks like an elephant now!! Ha ha

Everything from the giveaway was posted out a while ago now...so please let me know if you received your packages :)

I joined a new group on FaceBook group that are doing a summer stitch along, it's got some great designers in. The rule of the group is to stitch one of the designers designs and post progress.... One of the designers is Gale French from Stitchers Anon designs.
Naturally I had to join in!! So I am stitching this lovely design, it's called "The Humble Bumble Bee" designed by Gale French.

Here is my progress so far...
I am stitching it on hand dyed toned 32 count fabric, 1 over 1!! Yes tiny stitches!! Thought I could do witha challenge!

This is what I was going to stitch it on...but changed my mind!

To this....

My progress...

And I am also quite impressed with the back so far too!!

It's a very enjoyable stitch....

So that is what I have been stitching...

Have to ask before we go any further, does any of you have a magic wand?? Come on someone out there must have one!!??

Ok.... So me!!  Yes this is the bad news... Well not so good news...

I am still on bed rest, bed bound is a term I am not using anymore as its depressing!  So bed rest it is!  Last week the Dr was called out as the pain in my knee was worse.  And a new deveopment... I now have an inflamed coccyx!! Omg!! Pain... Seriously!?? It's just never ending.  The doctor came out again yesterday and says to leave my coccyx for another week to see if there are any signs of improvement... If not then I am looking at tests at the hospital.  You know ex-Rays...and what ever they want.  My knee in the mean time...well like I say in bed so no even hobbling about on crutches, too wobbly and unsafe. Yes it's hurting more than ever... The Dr is chasing up my MRI results, still not got the results some 5-6 weeks later!! And also chasing up the hospital regarding seeing a knee Dr... And chasing up the knee brace I am supposed to be getting fitted too.

Seems to me that I have just been forgotten about by the doctors... Fed up of having to keep chasing them for everything.  In fact I am fed up full stop... I just want to not feel or be ill anymore, enough is enough.  So if you have a magic wand.... Be sure to contact me!!

On another subject now.... Today I had ATOS come out to assess me for a disability (pip) claim.  They came to my home, asked me loads of questions about my health, what's been going on and how I am coping... If your not familiar with this, it's basically the UK system for claiming any disability benefits.  I applied back in April, when a Department of working pensions person came to my home and advised me to do so seeing the situation I was in!  Now that the assessment is over it can take up to 6 weeks to find out the result... Whether or not I have been awarded disability or not.  If I do get it, it can help with a blue badge to put in the car, for when I am up and about again.  Because my knee is so upredictable it will help if I need to go out.  And yes the increased funding will help too.

At this stage I could not even say when I will be up and about again?  Pain is an awful thing to live with, I know a few/lot of you suffer too on a daily basis.  Coping is hard... Thank goodness I have blogging and stitching!!

So trying to be and stay positive...

Happy smiles to you all :)

Friday night with friends....

Hello awesome friends!!
It's omg! The first Friday of the month....  A wonderful time where I can blog hop about and see what everyone else is up to!

For me.... What have I been up to??

The 6 th of July is my parents 48 th wedding anniversary... Although I stupidly thought it was their 47 th! Hmmm you will see in a moment with what I made why I say stupidly!!

It took me forever and ever to find the design I wanted to stitch... Ha ha then after all that searching it was in my stash! It's a lovely little Bent Creek design called 'I Do' and it's so cute.  I did adapt if for my parents...

See what you think??
Incidentally it's the first time I have finished something like this before...

It's ok.... Not happy with little bits here and there, but I am pleased I did it as it's something different.  So do you see the 47 now?! Ha ha never mind!  I have something in mind for my parents 59 th wedding anniversary, let's just hope this one lasts till then!!

What else have I been doing?

Well lots actually!! Ha ha but some of it I cannot show you all as its a surprise!  I can however share with you all a little stitch indie for Mouse... It's ok she has recieved it now!  I stitched it way back in January... But only got around to posting it to her very recently, this was due to all my in's and outs of hospital.  I am thrilled she now has it!!

Here it what I sent her,..

I am so happy Mouse likes it, and it's hanging in her craft room :). I knew it would find a way to her home sooner or later!

I do have other gifts to post out, but it's when I can arrange post office visits... Please be patient, and watch for your mail man!!

And what else have I been up to??

I was in the moon to sew.... A bit of creative sewing... I picked up my needle and some thread and just stitched what I was feeling... This was the outcome, so far..

Then I thought it needed some wildlife...

Ha ha so added a tiny bee!
I have no idea where I am going with this, it's just appearing...

It's almost JULY 4 th.... Here in England we don't celebrate this, as you all know!  But as I am stitching the Joyful Jornal series of months from Heart in Hand I thought it apt to show you all the recent finish I did of JULY... and Happy 4th!!

I did think I had not taken photos of the stitching journey, but yipppeeee I did!!

I am finding this series a fun stitch to do and stitch up pretty quickly too.

One last thing to say, Thank You... Sue for helping celebrate my birthday into July!! I love sheep as a lot of you know, look at this amazing hanky... It's adorable :)

Thank you for thinking of me :) xx

Ok I am going now... To do some stitching and hopping! Ha ha
Big smiles to you all :)
