Hello happy smiley friends I have something rather exciting to share with you all :)
A little while ago I showed you all a really lovely design that called me to stitch... Rather I was drawn to it to find it and stitch it.
It was this design...
A really lovely happy design I just wanted to stitch. After jon searching the web for days with no luck I decided to post it on my blog that I was searching for it.
One lovely blogger, Vickie come to my rescue! Thank you, thank you and thank you!! Vickie popped the chart in the post and I received it yesterday afternoon. I would of posted yesterday but I was busy sorting out threads so I could start it!!
Vickie had the chart in her stash from an old magazine she kindly dismantled for me! And do you see the rather cute poodle? It was on the envelope!! That's why I called this post that!
Jon and I sat for a good few hours checking all the threads, ha ha I almost died when I saw the thread list! So many colours!! Well 50 in all!! Ha ha after checking my stash I was 14 threads missing... This was not too much of a bother as luckily Han was in town! I messaged her and gave her the task of locating the missing ones I needed! I am happy to say she did manage to get the threads I needed and I started stitching!!
Here I am getting everything ready I need to start... So exciting starting a new project.
I decided to stitch it on 20 count antique white fabric...hmmm not sure what kind of fabric, it was something I had in my stash. I am stitching over one square as I thought it would make the design too big if I did it over two. And I am using one strand of my DMC threads... I did try with two strands, but thought it looked too messy. I am happy with what I have done and am enjoying this design so so much.
Here is what I have done so far...
I will stick with this design until complete as I really like it and am enjoying seeing it grow.
Well must get back to my stitching!!
Hope your all well and happy, sending happy smiles to you all!! :)
Xxx
It's beautiful
