It's true I am bionic!!!

Hello wonderful friends...

It seems such a long long time since I made a post on my blog.  Thank you heaps to Han for keeping you all updated and for plodding on with my blog too.  I bet you all must of thought I had gone AWOL?

Well some news for you all.....

I am out of hospital, hmmm I actually discharged myself as I felt really alone and sad.  The doctors had told me several times all I needed was rest, medication and light physio... And as I was so sad, yes in tears several times to my family.  I took the decision after 19 days to discharge myself!

I did at first wonder if I had lost my sanity by discharging myself... But thankfully I think it's the best thing I could of done.  I am recovering at home now surrounded by my family.  I am not back to 100% yet.... I am still struggling walking.  I do have a nice ' bionic ' leg which really does help.

Here is my leg today...

Yes to cheer me up my family is taking me to bingo!  Ha ha naturally with orders to win!! Thankfully my family own a wheelchair, not Jons.... It's one my mum uses when her back is really bad.  So I am being taken out in that.  I cannot wait to go out...

I really must say a HUGE  Thank You to all of you for your kind well wishes, I did pick up a few whilst in the hospital, they were really nice to read.

I have HEAPS to share with you all..... Some really lovely things have been sent to me, I feel so lucky to have lovely friends, Thank You.  I will get around to it soon... Promise.

Like I say I am not back to myself yet... Still in pain mostly in the evenings and I get tired real quick.  I want to say I will return but I just need a little more time... I hope you all understand?  I think the 'guest spot' by Han is good for a little while longer... If that is ok?  She will keep you all updated for just a little longer.  I want so badly to start stitching again, but I am so tired and my concentration is not so good either at the moment.

Oh one other good thing.... Shocking to me actually!
See all of my life I have been a nail biter.. I know awful, right!  And for years I have wanted to stop and grow my nails.  Hmmmm well whilst in hospital the first time around, you know over new year with that virus.. I stopped biting them then... Ha ha did not really want to bite them what with me being sick most days!  Then this latest visit to hospital I just carried on the motion and did not want to bite them... I had no urge to put my fingers in my mouth!  And as a result my finger nails are strong and growing.  For me to see nails is rather odd...

All my fingers pretty much look like this!  I am really happy I have stopped biting my nails.... Yipppeeeeeeee!! Ha ha Han says she will experiment with painting then different colours!

Ok so I am going now.... But not for long :)

Thank you all for sticking with me... Your wonderful :) xx

Smiles :)

Xx

Looking forward now to lots of nail varnish photos! I stopped biting mine many years ago, my BF tapped my hand every time it went near my mouth and it worked!

  18. Jaquie: I am so happy to hear you are getting better, it is sometimes hard to recover without your family nearby.
I am also happy you are not biting your nails anylonger, I did the same thing when I was in my teens, a friends father said if he caught me doing it one more time he would slap my hands, that made me quit.
I have nice nails now and use loads of lotion on the cuticles that help thewm stay strong.

    Happy stitching

  23. You are so right, a hospital is a place for being ill, but not for recovering, this is much better done at home. Congrats on your "new" nails! Get well soon, best wishes from Austria.

  24. Great to hear you are back home! Sounds like it was the right decision. Love your new nails - get some nail polish on them or better still some nail strengthener to stop them snapping! I found that was a problem when I stopped biting my nails, and still is nearly 20 years later!
