ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Jacqueline, the maker behind Zenf Embroidery. I’m a hand embroiderer and artist who loves exploring texture, colour, and the small peculiarities of nature that often go unnoticed.

This is me!

I’ve been stitching for over thirty years, using a variety of traditional and experimental techniques. My work often begins with curiosity, a detail, a texture, a shape, that then grows into something new through thread and patience.

I’m autistic and a wheelchair user, and both have shaped how I see and experience the world around me. Returning to university as a mature student reignited my love of learning and deepened my belief in the connection between creativity, wellbeing and hand embroidery.

In 2022, I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a First-Class Degree in Textiles (Hand Embroidery), and in 2025 I completed my Master’s in Arts Practice (Arts Health & Wellbeing) at the University of South Wales.

Through Zenf Embroidery, I aim to preserve the beauty of traditional hand embroidery while exploring how making can support wellbeing. This blog is my creative space, part sketchbook, part journal, where I share my process, experiments, and finished pieces.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to see what I do.
