What ever next??

Hello friends...

I posted my wonderful finished stitch called "Acorns and Owls" from Blue Ribbon Designs at the top of this post as it makes me happy and instantly smile.  I have not had a chance to 'finish' it as yet, but will do soon.

Today has been a very strange day and I am wondering what else is going to happen...

See this morning just after 10 am I received a phone call from my mum saying to go round quickly as dad was being taken to hospital by ambulance.

This for me is a normal procedure but it is usually mum in the ambulance... so it just felt odd.  I drove over to my parents home to find that it was looking like dad had a heart attack.  I made my way to the hospital and met up with dad in A&E. Oh they did the usual things and well dad was looking kind of better... until they moved him.. and he went white as a ghost and something was happening with him.  They ran a lot more tests and admitted him for observation.
As its now the weekend.. well nothing is likely to be done until Monday now.  Unfortunately for my dad if he does have another blockage they cannot repair it with another stent as he already has two fitted.  They have said if they do find a blockage then he will most probably have a heart by pass operation.  But we will have to wait and see if it comes to this.

I am the one that has been in the hospital all day with my dad, rushed back to take Han to work and then to my parents to collect essentials for my dad.  Back to the hospital and drop the things off... then collect Han from work.  So its only now sitting down in the evening I can reflect on what has actually happened today.  And I bet your all wondering where my mum is?  Oh well ill at home too... she has a crumbling spine and is in a lot of pain unable to walk far and on top of that has a cold... so she is rather under the weather.

I write this on my blog as I fins it helps... helps me.  As I have lots of things flying around my head and putting it on paper or in my blog helps me organize myself.  Oh I am not looking for prayers or anything like that... see we are not really a religious family (sorry).  I do know there are some who follow my blog that are religious.. I respect your views and beliefs :)

Well tomorrow is another day as they say!

I have started to stitch something this evening... I needed to do something to keep busy and calm myself so started a little project...

Here is where I am now..

This is some aida (yes that I was kindly gifted) ... I cut a piece and dyed it (it was white) and I dyed it this tan/fawn... colour.  I did it with herbal tea!  Its not a bad colour I think!  I hope it suits the colours I have chosen for this little project :)

OK...

Sorry to of rambled..

Happy stitching ..

xx

  7. Your Dad is in the best place for the weekend, they will look after him now and your Mum can focus on herself. It's so very stressful for you though. Good job you have your stitching to help you!
Tea dyeing is fun, I recommend fruit tear, you get some lovely soft pinks
