I am VERY excited as I have something to share with you all... my very first cross stitch design. I was looking for an owl design to stitch for the Halloween SAL as April's theme is owls. I could not find any so thought I would just design one!
I loved the whole process and am now thinking of doing a Halloween Collection! And this owl one is the first one :)
I will put the chart on here as a freebie, if you would like to stitch it... marvelous!
Its not a complicated chart... far from it! There are only whole stitches used and for this owl design only one color too! DMC 310 - Black... or you could use any black thread you have. Or indeed stitch it in any color you wish too! :)
I ask one thing... that if you do stitch it... please email me HERE and I will show them on my blog :)
I was up till all hours stitching and finishing it as I wanted to put it on my blog today... so exciting!!
My OWL....
The chart..
If you would like the chart then please right click and save as.. if you have any problems feel free to email me and I will send the chart to you :)
Happy Stitching!
Back..
I looked and thought I had thin orange ribbon... hmmm appears not! Its a little pillow! I think I would opt to stitch it on another fabric next time and maybe choose another backing... sparkly black maybe so it was like night sky? Or maybe next time I would make it into an oblong pillow.. so you could see the sparkly black fabric next to it?? Oooh lots of possibilities!
I would like to learn how to finish my things I make better... I guess I can learn from all you lovely stitchy people out there!!
I have shares my owl on two Facebook groups I belong to... hope someone stitches it! Maybe over the weeks someone will email me with what they did with it! How exciting!
Well I have to crack the whip with my Eastery design as its almost Easter and I am only half finished! And I have still 3 eggs to make!! There is always the weekend!! :)
Until tomorrow!
Happy stitching :)
