Thursday 31 st July 2014.... HAPPY!

Hello all...

I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!

Want to know why??

Eeeeekkkkkk!!!!!

Look!!  Notice anything....

Sorry its a rather 'cheesy' photo... I took it on my iPad and really did not know where to look! ha h a  Oh and ignore the bad hair day too!! ha ha a

I HAVE A TOOTH!!!! yippppeeeeeeee!!!

I had a phone call out of the blue from the dentist saying it had arrived back and to pop along... I jumped in the car!! Jon has never seen me move so quick! ha ha  and there it is!! I feel much better now with it :)

Continuing with the happy post look what turned up int he post today...
Its my Round Robin stitch from my partner Michelle... her blog is Michelle's Stitchcraft Place.

How wonderful is this,...

I simply love it... oooozes cuteness!

Michelle was ever so kind as she included a delightful sheep stitch for me too, and a learn to crotchet booklet...one day I will grasp that!!

I now have No.1,2,3,4 and 6 now of these wonderful sheep to stitch :)  Jon bought me the first 4 and I love them.  They are a project I plan to do pretty soon :)

The booklet..

If your popping over to Michelle's blog check out her crotchet work... goodness its stunning, especially the beautiful blue wool she is currently working with.

Look at the lovely card she sent too...

Yes I finished Michelle's Round Robin stitch too and I am happy to say she has received it too so I can show you what I sent her ...

I stitched her a peacock on 28 count jobelan 1 over 1... a challenge for me but I enjoyed it .  ...

I also made her a stitched little pillow, of a bird cage with some pretty pins in...

Yes Michelle asked for a bird theme so thought the things I stitched were ok to do... I am pleased she liked them.

Goodness more to tell you all....

Well I finished my mums table runner.. I am very happy I managed to do it!  Seeing as it is the first one I have made I am really pleased with it.  I took it around my mums and she loves it!

The back is just plain beige and well... to some its not perfect.. I made it with no measurements and did not follow a pattern either!  When I make things I learn from them.. this is why I enjoy making things.  From this I have learned to make it from a pattern and not to wing it! ha ha ah aha  next time!!  I guess it was more of an exercise to see if I could make it!  And yes I would do several things differently ... but for my first attempt I think its good :)

Oooh I have a blogger stitching friend I know from posting in Google+ ....she is very new to blogging and wants some advice and tips on how to get more followers.  Me being me thought how nice it would be if some of my lovely followers could pop along to her wonderful blog.. say Hi naturally and then maybe leave a tip or two?  That would be nice...

Her name is Macey and her blog is called... Macey's Creative Corner..

Thank You :)

Well that is about all I have to post for now.....

Sending happy smiles your way :)

xx :) xx

Thursday 31 st July 2014... Almost August.... gosh!!

Good evening everyone...

I really have no idea why I seem to be a day out when I post?  Hmmm ok well I just checked the clock and its almost midnight again!  eeek!! ha ha   So there goes Wednesday and hello Thursday! ha ha  I will try to post earlier  on the actual day  and not a day behind I think!  So I will take this as Thursdays post as its almost that now anyway!  And no doubt.. I will post again ... much later!?  Hmmm but hopefully not midnight!

Gosh I ramble!!

So hope that kind of made some sense? ha ha

What have I been doing?  Went to the hospital with Jon.. Oh he is fine, thank you all for you well wishes to him :)  He just gets tired quickly these days... but coffee and cakes fixes that! The physio wants to put Jon in the hydro pool.. I am really not keen at all... see they would use a material hoist to get him in there and well he has used one before and lets just say he suffered for days afterwards from using it.  So there is that putting me off and the fact they expect me to prepare him to go in the pool and then when he comes out too... then I am to get him in the car afterwards... I just dont think at this stage its beneficial for him.  But I was made to feel so guilty in front of the physio as they just said we think it will help him, we think this and that.... I tried to say I live with him and I know his pain and after the first time they tried this in 2010 it just caused pain to Jon.  And I naturally dont want to see him in pain this is why I spoke up...  so they told us to go away and discus it... Jon is thinking along the same lines as me and does not feel ready yet to do hydro therapy.  This whole thing just left me feeling awful...

What have I been doing then....

Oooh yes more of my mums table runner...

Still working on it and having fun too.... When I have finished stitching then I have to figure out what to do with them? hmmm   I was thinking to frame each one with the 2 fabrics I used for the aplique then... I have no clue! ha ha ... maybe I guess just join them up and add a backing and wa-la?! lol hmmm I bet it s harder than that!  I will give it a go..

Oooh yes about the pens.. yes I do have a purple invisible special pen that Jon bought me awhile go for drawing with as it disappears and just shows the stitching.  I tried it but just cannot get on with it as it disappears to darn quick!  So now I use the really fine tip pencils and my stitching covers the lines fine.

Whilst out today I needed some Blu tack .. I was just giggling in the isle at this... Blu tack but its pink!  Should be pink tack!! ha ha a  I tell you I just laugh at the silliest of things!

A little while ago I went onto Abby Rose Designs blog and they were hosting a chart giveaway... as soon as I saw it I liked it.. a very pretty design called... "Home is where you hang your needlework"

I posted the envelope in the picture too as I loved the stamps!  They are fireworks with the American flag... really pretty stamps too :)

Here is the chart...

I will not be starting this one until I have finished my Blue Ribbon Designs Happy chart... its looking good and I am almost ready to start the border :)

Well I best wrap this up!

Thank you all so much for leaving kind comments... I do reply to most of you via email as I get sent your comment via that... I know sweet Vickie's messages for some reason dont come to my in box... so I just want to say Thank You Vickie for being so sweet and I hope you too get some relief from the pain you are in daily.

I have a question... would you all rather I reply to your comments on my blog or via email?  Just curious....

OK.. well I should really go!!

Smiles to you all :)

Tuesday 29 th July 2014....just!!! ha ha

Hello wonderful friends...

Went to the hospital with Jon for his CT scan... we were not in there long as Jon was in a lot of pain... they had to cut it short as he was going into spasms.  There was me thinking I could do some stitching as he would be in there ages!! ha ha!!  But dont worry... we stopped off in the hospital cafe and after Jon had a coffee and cake he was feeling a little better.  We went home and ha ha basically done nothing for the rest of the day!! Terrible really...

I thought no do the washing and changing the beds tomorrow!  Well I think I will put them off until Thursday now as we have the hospital again tomorrow.  Its going to be a quick visit tomorrow I think as Jon is in no mood to be causing himself any more pain.  After that if Jon is up to it we will pop into town to meet up with my parents for coffee and chat... if not we will go home.  That is our day tomorrow!

Today when we got home I have to tell you I got side tracked.. its just terrible I know.  It was Jon's fault as I was flicking through all the wonderful books he bought me for my birthday...

Remember this one...

Well I found something I would like to do in it for my mum's table... Ok in the book its a quilt but I am adapting it and only doing 3 designs for a table runner.. hope it turns out ok?

This is it...

I however have decided to do it in pretty bright colors!...

Here I have started...

I started with the applique bits first, ready to be stitched here after applying the 'magic'!

I have stitched this one, picked the colors and drawn the design on ... ready to start stitching....

Oooh yes I have started stitching....

I think I read somewhere that you can fill areas with colored pencils.... thinking of just filling in the bee hive with a colored pencil?  What do you think?

I will be taking this one to the hospital as I know I will get some flowers done or something else whilst Jon is being seen.

I started this and to be honest I am finding the whole process really relaxing... and I love the quick results too.  It will be my first table runner and my first applique stitching thing too... quite a bit project really.... for me!

As some of you know I am a member of a Facebook stitching group and we recently had an exchange/swap thing.. and I wanted to show you what I was sent as I love it.  I think its what you call a biscorn?  I have never made one and think its lovely.  I put the little fob on my car keys!  Really pretty you think?

This is what I sent the lady for the exchange/swap...

The lady I sent it to loved what I made... makes me happy! :)

So that is me about done...

Oooooh yes.... I noticed I have some more followers.. WELCOME :)  Feel free to join in and leave comments whenever you like... so lovely of you to join my merriment.

Smiles...

Monday 28 th July 2014....

Hello friends ...

The weather has been really hot here and I have been melting.. thankfully we had a massive thunder storm int he early hours of this morning, with lightening and a tonne of rain...and its cooled down a bit now.

I have managed to work a little more on my Blue Ribbon Design.... its getting there!  One more bit to do then onto the border.

You can see the large 'bit' I need to do on the other side...

I received something in the post that made me smile... no not stitching things, not a gift... my certificates for English.

If you dont know or are not aware... I have been doing English and Maths in the evenings to help me.  See its been an awfully long time since I left school.  I find English and Maths difficult at the best of times..so thought I would challenge myself.  I also have learning difficulties... dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia... a great combo! ha ha  I try not to dwell on these.. they are always there so cannot hide from them.  I do love auto correct spelling on here... I think just to show you how much it corrects my writing here is a paragraph to show you....

Hello well I guess I should write soemthing here... waht abut soemthing on what I enjoy doing.  I liek to stitch and sew and am tryuing to teach myself how to do quilting.  The hardest part of it all for me is following instutins .. it takes me waht sems forever to let new thigs sink in.  I gues that is why I like to learn as I go, feeling and touching tihings.

Ha ha there you go!! ha h a that is normal for me and then I use auto correct to put it 'normal'!  Reading and correcting what I do takes the longest time.

When I started to blog I thought it would be a great way to help with my English... it does as now I love to write!  So yes... I sat 2 levels in English...the 2 levels before GCSE as I needed bringing up to date again as I had forgotten a lot of basic things.  And I sat the exams recently and I knew I passed them as my tutor emailed me!  And today I finally got the certificates through... I feel ever so proud... that I stuck at it really.  And now I am on the waiting list for the English GCSE to start September.. I hope I get a place.  Maths...yes I sat the GCSE exams and my results will be ready to collect August 21st.. I am very nervous about this.

My certificates, the grade was either pass or fail...

I have some more exciting news... ha ha not that I can show you!  My next Round Robin partner is Michelle and I am happy to say that I have finished her stitch.  And will be posting it tomorrow :)  So once she has received it I will post photos's on here.

To be honest as the weather has been so clammy I have not been feeling much like doing anything let alone sewing and stitching.  I have tried to... and yes I did manage some... better than nothing right!  Thankfully now that the weather is cooler.. I think.. I can get back to stitching!

Tomorrow I am at the hospital with Jon... he is having a CT scan as they thought a little while ago he may have a brain tumor due to things that were happening with him... droopy eye and loss of vision.. slurred speech... that type of thing.  So he is getting the scan just to be sure he is fine really.  And being at the hospital again for me means more stitching!! ha ha  And again on Wednesday too... back to the hospital again for Jon's slot with the 'gentle' physio team.  I say gentle as they dont push him... they are trying to build his upper body strength back up.  So Tuesday and Wednesday are stitching 'out' days this week.

Oooh yes... I am popping into college tomorrow... Han has decided to go back!! Yipppeeeee!!!! OMG!!! I am over the moon.. see Han still has no idea what she wants to do with her life.  And I personally think too much pressure is placed and expected onto youngsters these days.  So for Han to agree to go back to college to 'learn' more or find herself is a good thing.  And besides that she really enjoyed college and doing what she did..

Well that really is all my news I think...

I am sure I have forgot something..

Keep smiling :)

Talking of smiles.... I do hope some of my 'happy'packages reached their destinations.

Friday 25 th July 2014....

Yes its time!!!

OMG!!  Yippppeeeee!!!

I participated in  the Christmas in July swap held by Kim... and a wonderful job she has done too :)  Thank You its been so much fun.

Well as you all know my secret parcel from my partner arrived early and as I could not be trusted not to open it :(  Jon hid it away!  Now let me tell you.. it took some convincing for him to let me have it today as he thought he had to hang onto it until December!! Nooooo!!! ha ha

And who was my secret partner?....

It was Angela from pretty little things in a box

Well look at the wonderful gifts I received in the swap...

My parcel had come a long way..

ooohh....

Inside...
How cute its a sheep!!! :)  OMG!!!

Ooohh... pretty, very pretty...

Such pretty things.. delicate crotchet things and oooh a pretty jingly garland to hang up at Christmas :)

Wonderful things, Thank You ever so much Angela :)

And what I sent out to my secret partner... (I can post a photo as I know they have received it!)

This is the first time I have ever made anything for Christmas.... in this way so it was a challenge for me but I enjoyed it :)

Just hope my secret partner likes them too...

I also added a few bits in the parcel and a Christmas card!! ha ha

Yesterday I had to nip out at 5.45 pm and got in my car and OMG!! I had to take a photo of the temperature thing in the car....

Really crazy weather we are having here in England right now...

And again today the weather is lovely, bright blue sky and all my windows are open again... its scorchio!!

Yesterday I did more Happy stitching on my Blue Ribbon design... its coming along nicely :)  I also got slightly distracted whist looking at Lesley Teare's  web page.. such wonderful designs. .. so I had to stitch one! ha ha a

Here is what I stitched yesterday,.... I could not put it down!!  And as a result I finished it!

The start...

I think its very pretty and just love it :)

Not sure what to do with it yet... I just like it!

As the weather is just so ho and sticky I just dont feel much like eating.. I have been nibbling and this is one of this things I nibbled on yesterday!

I just sit, pop them open and munch the peas! mmmm

So I think I have taken enough of your time up!!
