Sunday 22 nd June 2014... FNSI....

Yes, Thank You everyone for making my Birthday special with all the wonderful birthday messages and wishes.

Yesterday the 21 st June was my birthday and let me tell you its not going to be one I forget in a hurry!

Well literally just before I made my post yesterday around 12 midnight I had to call an ambulance to our home!  I know its terrible... see Han being accident prone as she is... only stood up from being on the sofa and some how managed to wind herself!! We are really not sure how bit she was struggling to breathe.. the paramedic came out and stayed a while and Han returned to her chirpy self a little while later.  A pulled muscle in her back apparently!?  Only Han right!!  So things calmed down and I made my Birthday blog post...

Literally just finished typing and posted it when I got a phone call off my dad saying my mum was just about to go in the ambulance to the hospital with a suspected heart attack!  OMG!! Well off I went mach 3 down the local roads, luckily its just around the corner.  Got there in plenty time and went with my mum to the hospital.  My mum has a complicated heart condition and a pace maker fitted... I have always gone with her when my dad calls.  So there I was in the hospital and well at first my mum was not so good, but once they gave her suitable medication she perked up.  All she kept saying to me was that I was not to let her die as she made me a cake!!  Honestly!! Even then my mother still had a sense of humor!  They moved her to a ward and she was actually fine by this point, they wanted her to see the heart specialist in the morning.  So I left as she was in safe hands and got home at around 6.30 am!!  Yes I was really tired... went to bed for a nap but only managed about 3 hours I think.  Better than nothing .. right?

So got up and Jon Han and I met my dad at the cafe for coffee before going to see my mum in hospital.  Han made me a special coffee... 2 cups as I needed to stay awake!

Then we went to see my mum... she was fine really!! Now I dont want you all worrying about her... she is fine now!  This is the only reason I chose to post this today.

In hospital with my dad eating cake!!  Not my birthday cake as we forgot the knife!  I took it home.. but here is is...

I LOVE IT!!!
My cake with my card!
My mum, bless her, made this for me... see I really love turtles... my child hood name was Murtle turtle!  Its in my kitchen now and gosh its lovely!! mmmmm  I did not even know she had made this!!

You will be pleased to know my mum is now out of hospital and recovering and taking things easy or easier at home now.

Whilst walking through the hospital we saw the funniest thing... penguin statues dressed up like morris dancers!!  So funny... made us all chuckle!

So a birthday I will not forget in a hurry!! I am still tired now... so been lazing about eating cake!! ha h ha ha

My parents bought me something really useful.. yes I have been using them loads since getting them!  How on earth did I mange before them??!!

I have started a new stitching project...

Not a lot to see at the moment... but it will soon grow... I am using 32 count Linen, I would not usually use a magnifier but I think its because I am still tired and cannot concentrate 100%.  Need sleep I think!  I am using my hands free lap stand Jon got me :)

My Friday Night Sew In I did manage to stitch and finish something!!  I know shocker!!  But I cannot show you it!  I know total let down... right.  Its a gift I dont want to spoil it, I will reveal all soon...Well I did show a sneak peek..

Its a wonderful feeling knowing others all over the world are stitching along too... Thank you to Wendy at Sugarlane Designs blog for organizing it all.  Oooh yes I will one day get around to trying one of those amazing recipes she posts... I will have to pop around a few other blogs that joined in on Friday to see what they have been up to.

Oooh yes I also packaged something up to go out too.....

Not a very good photo I am afraid... once its been received I will show you all what it is!  :)

Talking of things I have sent... I am so hoping Kim receives the Round Robin 'thing' I stitched... maybe Monday or Tuesday?? I hope so!!  If not I will gladly stitch something else... its no bother.

Thank You again lovely stitching/blogging friends for making my day special :)

Smiles to you all...

:) xx

  9. Mum made a lovely cake for you, so pleased she is home and recovering, what a birthday you had.

Jacquie, I see you have the magnifier on your fabric, please can you put a scrap of old fabric under the clip as I have had bad experience and sometimes the black comes off onto your precious work and I would hate for that to happen to your lovely stitching.
