Friday 6 th May 2014...

Today is Friday.. I think this week has passed awfully quick... hmmm I think I am dreading Monday and Friday next week.  Its the Maths exams :(

Putting that aside....

What have I done today?  ha ha I should start with yesterday!  No post yesterday as I was baking cakes at my parents house!  And it was late when I got back. .... but I have cake photos to show you :)

I wanted to make a cake to take to the craft group I now go to on Fridays... so Thursday evening I went over to my parents home to make some!  Why my parents home I hear you ask... well they were away, in Germany having a mini break and Han was cat sitting!  So I went over there to keep her company and bake some cakes!

Here is the cake I made...

The mix...yes chocolate!

But it is dark chocolate and made with no butter at all... so quite good for you!  But very rich tasting.. nice though!

I made a round cake and then cut it into little squares and dusted the top with icing sugar...

Not many left... I took them to the craft group... this is what was left.

That is what I made and a lot of mess I might add! ha ha but I did clean it up :)

Shame its not Birthday cake... for a lovely blogging friend who's Birthday it is today...

Happy Birthday Vickie :)

If you want to wish Vickie a Happy Birthday you could pop along to her blog....

Today..Friday I have now been to the craft group and it was good fun today as there were more people... really lovely friendly people too.  Some where knitting, crocheting, card making, drawing and sewing.

I started a new fun project whilst there... yes to do in between my current stitching.  And tonight is the Friday Night With Friends evening... yipppeeee!! Its my first one! So I thought I would carry on with this new project of mine as I can post up dates with that!  That is the only thing about participating with Round Robins and Christmas In July swap .. I cannot show my progress... but you will see it at some point!

My new project...

Been inspired to do some hexies!  Not sure at this point what its going to be.. more fun that way I think!  I will post an up date tomorrow.

So I have adopted this...

But of course I shall!! ha ha

Oooh something else to show you... the weather here at the moment is crazy... I got in my car after the craft group meeting and look...

Just a little warm!  Nice!!

And of course at some point over the weekend I will be doing some revision... just to refresh my memory that is useless!  I can but try as they say.

Until maybe later ... if I post something else?  If not it will be tomorrow...

Have a lovely happy smiley day :)

xx

  3. Chocolate cake... mmmmmm... it looks sooooo yummy... I dream about chocolate by night... started my diet because I need to loose weight and have to forget sweets (and many other tasty things, I'm afraid) :-(
Good luck for your maths test!!!

    1. Oh but this is a healthy chocolate cake :) I am still watching my weight and this is fine in moderation... I think the little squares help! You should not cut all the nice things out ... you will end up wanting them more. I know I have been there! At first I could not trust myself with just one.. but over time the more weight I lost I did not want more than one! Little treats are fine.. Thank You for the luck for my maths memory test,... I need it! :)

    2. For sure, little squares help as you said!
My husband spends his free time making cakes and sweets, so I'm always tempted: last week profiteroles, this week tiramisù... it's hard to resist so, sometimes, I take a small small portion, just to taste. Then I have to move from the kitchen!!!
