Tuesday 3 rd June 2014...

Well guess what???!!!

OMG!! Its come around very quick... I have an English exam paper tomorrow... I need to be at the college for 5.30 pm (Wednesday evening) to take my exam.  This is is for the writing part, I have already sat the reading part....

I am not sure if many of you know but this is a major challenge for me, on many levels.  See I find exams really difficult, I think its psychological...ha h all in my mind!  Its the word 'exam'!!  My mind just goes blank and I mean blank!  I have to think of it more as a memory test and that is how I get through it!

Here is a little problem though... I have a diagnosed short term memory and something else that affects memory ha h ah the funny thing is I cannot remember what its called! ha ha a seriously bad!!  It may come to me as I type...

So with my memory issues I also have some learning difficulties, dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia...  I cope really well or try to with what is thrown at me daily.  Each of these affect me in different ways.  There is a joke in our family, if there is a hole I am sure to fall in it!! ha ah a That is the dyspraxia!  I think when I started blogging I had hoped it would help me with my English.  And I can honestly say it has, sure I use spell checker, and I still double check what I have written as I still think most of it makes no sense!

I amaze myself  constantly by pushing myself to learn new things.. I see it as a challenge and if others can do it, why cant I!!   So this is why I love to learn... I love to have that feeling of I have made something.  When I stitch it takes a lot of concentration and now after stitching many years (self taught) I think I find it very relaxing.

I think now you have seen a glimpse of 'me' behind the blog... I hope I have not put you all off?  I am a nice person... I just am a little different that is all....

On the stitching front... well I have been stitching all day on and off .. doing the Round Robin.  Must finish it soon...

Sorry no photo's as it will spoil the fun and Kim will see it 'in progress'... have to wait!!

Just wanted to share what I had for dinner yesterday....  well its all I had eaten all day..

I call it amazing salad!! mmmmmmm
It has... lettuce, boiled egg, beetroot, radish, spring onion, cucumber, cherry tomato, soft feta cheese squares, carrot, mini spinach and ricotta pasta and a drizzle of salad dressing.

It may well be a late posting tomorrow... as I will be at my English Exam until 9 pm.  And some really great news... I thought I was not able to progress with my English to the next level which would be GCSE.  My tutor messaged me to say I was on the waiting list for a place starting September.... so fingers crossed I get a place.

I am off now....feeling positive and happy.. not at all stressed about this exam.

Smiles all around!

:)

xx

    1. Thank You ever so much Carol for your message.... living with SpLd's is difficult at times.. even in blogging world. My back ground is always colored and I love colored blogs.. I find it difficult reading and following blogs written on white or cream.. I do have filters on my PC but am too lazy to use them! I have had years and years to 'help myself' and learn tricks along the way! Spell checker is a good one... I write my post or reply and gosh you should see all the words underlined in red! h ah ha then I go and change them to the correct spelling! I think being a happy outgoing person helps and I have gained so much confidence blogging and chatting with fellow bloggers its helped me so much. Thank You again :)
